36 Weeks

At 36 weeks, my baby girl weight 6.5 lbs which the doctor says is perfect weight. She still has very little hair, which I find funny because I was completely bald when I was born. She has position herself to come out. At 37 weeks, she will be full term, I'm looking forward to that. She is now constantly moving, she's awake for alot of the day and sleeps at night, thank God. Let's hope that continues once she's here. I feel like I will miss feeling her inside, she wakes me up almost every morning

30 Weeks / First Year Anniversary

Here's my belly at 30 weeks, this as at the Riu Bahamas where we celebrated our First Anniversary. Time is flying and the belly is getting huge. Good thing I was able to get naps by the pool and that the buffet was open pretty much all day. I feel my body changing now, I'm much slower now. She's been so active, moving her limbs slowly across my belly.

How far along? 31 weeks exactly
Maternity clothes? Most of them but I still wear some of my old lose shirts

Stretch marks? Nope, keeping fingers crossed!
Sleep: Yes, love the Snoozer body pillow, great investment. I do get up to the bathroom around 3 times but I go right back to sleep, thank God.

Best moment this week: Seeing her head and butt move around my elly
Movement: She feels pretty big now, I could clearly feel her body parts, knees, kicks and her little hands. Plus I could feel her different sides of my belly at the same time.
Food cravings: Ice cream but with the diabetes, I can't have any =(
Gender: It's a girl!
Labor Signs: None, I hope I don't get any for a least another month
Belly Button in or out? It's still in but is looking kind of weird now.

What I miss: My energy, I'm getting pretty winded now plus I walk so slow
What I am looking forward to: Baby Shower!!!!

Weekly Wisdom: Get lots of rest, take naps and get foot massages.

29 Weeks Sonogram

Here's the baby's sonogram at 29 weeks. I can't believe how clear they are. I can' wait to meet her in person. She weights 3 lbs 2 oz which is perfect at this stage. I feel her movements more and more each day and they're always changing patterns.

Here's my belly growing, I feel her now everyday and it's such a reassuring feeling. I'm having some insomnia a couple of nights a week but I bought the body pillow and it's helping. I'm also starting to feel heavier, I've gained about 17 lbs and my body feels the difference.

We were finally able to find out, she was hiding from us. But it's official, it's a baby GIRL!! We feel so blessed.

Going for my check up tomorrow, I hope they could tell me the sex of the baby, it's so exciting and nerve wracking!!!

I'm feeling good, my heartburn seems to have stopped, and I'm getting some energy back. I do still need alot of sleep and have been going to bed at 10pm and even 9pm. Have been getting my exercise walking at the malls with John, he's so supportive lol

Here we are, at 11 weeks, I'm still feeling great. I'm even getting some of my energy back. The baby is the size of a fig, about an inch and 1/2. On the sonogram picture you could see the head on the left and if you look very closely, you could even see the little leg.

I'm still feeling good, thank God. No morning sickness, I only get a little grossed out with some food smell. All in all I feel good. At 7-8 weeks this is what the baby looks like, it's the size of a blueberry

Due Date - August 24, 2009

Went to my first doctor's appt today, he just came back from vacation. He gave us a due date August 24, 2009 which means I'm 7 weeks. He also did a sonogram and John was able to see the heart beat, the heart is the size of a puppy seed. John saw it blinking, I could see it from where I was. This is all very exciting and nerve wracking at the same time.

Finally broke the news to the family, I was so nervous and was dying to tell them. At first, parents were puzzled with the gift, but my bright sisters figured it out. It was great night full of hugs and OMGs. 2009 will be a great year for the Jimenez family.

How we found out

So I knew I was late, I wanted to wait to make sure the test will show an accurate result. On Saturday morning (12-27-08) I couldn't wait any longer, and as John was making breakfast, I sneaked into the bathroom to test. It was POSITIVE, I went to the kitchen test in hand. He was so happy and I was so emotional. Haven't told anyone yet until I see the doctor, it's been hard to hide from people
